THE BEST ROLODEX IN THE BUSINESS
When investors, financial professionals, and discerning citizens need a big-picture view of what’s going on in the economy, they turn to John Mauldin.
And for good reason. John has dedicated more than 30 years to keeping people informed about financial risk.
John is a visionary thinker, a noted financial expert, a New York Times bestselling author, a pioneering online commentator, and the publisher of one of the first publications to provide investors with free, unbiased information and guidance—Thoughts from the Frontline.
With 30 years of experience at executive levels in the real economy, Ed leads our macro research team. Ed has been the COO, publisher, and principal at Mauldin Economics since its founding in 2012. Through his interview series, Global Macro Update, along with being co-host of our annual Strategic Investment Conference, Ed has direct access to the world’s top economists, investors, and geopolitical analysts.
Ed puts that access to work with his team of analysts, parsing what matters to assemble portfolios designed to capitalize on major trends.
Jared Dillian is one of the industry’s most original, entertaining, contrarian voices. He is a master of market psychology and has been called “the Dr. House of trading,” with a staunch following ranging from casual investors to professional traders and hedge fund managers.
He is a regular contributor at Bloomberg View, Forbes, and other outlets. His media appearances include MSNBC, Bloomberg TV, The New York Times, LA Times, Business Insider and dozens of local and syndicated radio programs. Additionally, he is a teaching associate in the graduate business program at Coastal Carolina University.
Kelly Green, Yield Shark senior editor, has been a researcher since as long as she can remember. She was always fascinated with taking things apart and asking hundreds of questions—whether it was a car, or a complex math equation.
Kelly graduated at just age 20 with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematical Economics. A short time later she passed her Series 7 and 66 exams, sponsored by one of the largest financial services companies in the world.
Kelly turned to a career researching the lucrative field of high-yielding equities. The numbers and the research didn’t lie. She fell in love with exploring the ins and outs of income investing opportunities and sell-side options trades.
Thompson Clark is a small-cap expert and value-focused investor with nearly a decade of experience in financial publishing.
Thompson joined Mauldin Economics in 2021 as a senior stock analyst after six years of investment research experience at Legacy Research Group and Agora Financial, both affiliates of the Agora Inc. family of companies.
As an investment research analyst, Thompson produced small and microcap US equities recommendations for thousands of paid subscribers. Previously, he was a sell-side analyst at Sidoti & Co., a small-cap focused research firm in New York City.
Jake Weber is the head of Biotech Research and co-editor of Biotech Millionaire. His professional, 12-year investment experience spans a wide range of asset classes, including precious metals, commodities, currency and equity options, fixed income, and the healthcare and biotech sectors.
Jake previously worked as a fixed income trader at a proprietary trading shop in Chicago. He graduated from Loyola University with a BA in Business Administration in Economics.
Patrick Watson is a compulsive trend-observer and John Mauldin’s senior economic analyst. He and John first began collaborating around 30 years ago, and he contributes research and ideas to John’s wildly popular weekly e-letter, Thoughts from the Frontline. When John needs to make sense of the senseless, Patrick is often the first person he looks to.
Like John, Patrick specializes in a global macro perspective —from the latest correction in oil to new housing bubbles in China, or whatever is happening in global markets. Patrick’s illuminating explanations help shape several Mauldin Economics publications.
